The SCOOT data is split across 2 feeds.<\/p>\n<p>SCOOT monitors traffic flow in real-time to optimise traffic signal operation and adjusts signal timings to match prevailing conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The SCOOT algorithm continuously adapts three key traffic control parameters in the SCOOT controlled area \u2013 the amount of green for each approach (Split), the time between adjacent signals (Offset) and the time allowed for all approaches to a signalled intersection (Cycle time)<br \/>\nto minimise wasted green time at intersections and reduce stops and delays through the synchronisation of adjacent traffic signal installations.<\/p>\n<p>For more details on how SCOOT works please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scoot-utc.com\/\">www.scoot-utc.com<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1>SCOOT Static<\/h1>\n<p>The static SCOOT data provides information on all Traffic Signal Nodes configured on the UTMC system. The data for dynamic&nbsp;feed includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>System Code Number<\/strong>&nbsp;or unique ID.<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> Congestion Percentage<\/strong>&nbsp;on link.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Explanation of how this is calculated please find&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.netraveldata.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/SCOOT-Congestion-Calculation.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Current Flow<\/strong> in Passenger Car Units (PCUs). Explanation of how this is calculated please find&nbsp;<a title=\"Passenger Car Unit (PCU)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.netraveldata.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Passenger-Car-Units.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Average Speed<\/strong> in kph.
